Cairo Christmas Parade

Downtown Cairo comes alive each December under a canopy of lights and becomes the scene of holiday merriment as we usher in the holiday season with the annual Christmas parade. ​

Come enjoy the Christmas lights and join us for what promises to be the best parade ever. Help us spark the magic of Christmas and the excitement of the season during the annual Cairo Christmas Parade. The parade kicks off on the first Thursday in December at 7:00 p.m. at the Chamber of Commerce and continues down Broad Street ending at the First Methodist Church. Each year the parade includes marching bands, beauty queens, horses, dozens of decorated floats, honored guests and of course Santa Claus! 

We invite you to come early…do some shopping in Downtown Cairo or dine at one of our area restaurants. But be sure to arrive in plenty of time to secure a good viewing spot. Everyone loves a parade and the annual Cairo Christmas parade is a vivid example of the warmth our community has during this spirited season.
