Annual Community Awards

Deadline for nominations is December 20, 2024.

Awards are presented to honor and recognize outstanding individuals in our community. To make a nomination, please complete this form. Please note that this form must be completed in its entirety for the candidate to be considered for the award. If additional space is needed, please attach an additional piece of paper with the nominee’s name at the top. All nominees must meet the criteria established in the Award Descriptions. All nominations are confidential and will be given equal consideration.

Annual Award Descriptions

Large Business of the Year
Nominee must be an active business located and operating in Grady County with 31+ employees,

Nominee must have been in business for a minimum of two (2) years,

Nominee must demonstrate one or more of the following characteristics:

Exemplifies visible growth and financial stability while making a positive contribution to the community

Demonstrates creativity and innovation in products, services, or operations while adhering to their company brand

Maintains high standards of customer satisfaction by providing a high level of customer service

Exhibits strong leadership within the organization through personal and professional employee development efforts

Invests in the community through partnerships and/or collaborations
Small Business of the Year
Nominee must be an active business located and operating in Grady County with up to 30 employees,

Nominee must have been in business for a minimum of two (2) years,

Nominee must demonstrate one or more of the following characteristics:

Exemplifies visible growth and financial stability while making a positive contribution to the community

Demonstrates creativity and innovation in products, services, or operations while adhering to their company brand

Maintains high standards of customer satisfaction by providing a high level of customer service

Exhibits strong leadership within the organization through personal and professional employee development efforts

Invests in the community through partnerships and/or collaborations
Man of the Year
Nominee must be a current resident of Grady County,

Nominee must demonstrate one or more of the following characteristics:

Involved extensively in service and/or civic organizations

Demonstrates high ethical standards and integrity in all actions and words

Serves as a role model while positively influencing others

Contributes to the success of Grady County

Advocates for important causes by investing in business or community support
Woman of the Year
Nominee must be a current resident of Grady County,

Nominee must demonstrate one or more of the following characteristics:

Involved extensively in service and/or civic organizations

Demonstrates high ethical standards and integrity in all actions and words

Serves as a role model while positively influencing others

Contributes to the success of Grady County

Advocates for important causes by investing in business or community support
Young Professional of the Year
Nominee must be a current resident of Grady County,

Nominee must be between 21 and 45 years of age

Nominee must demonstrate one or more of the following characteristics:

Shows outstanding achievement in his/her chosen field of work

Demonstrates strong leadership skills within their profession

Exhibits commitment to personal and professional development by working effectively with others and inspiring peers

Contributes to the success of Grady County
Community Service Professional of the Year
Nominee must be a current resident of Grady County,

Nominee must demonstrate one or more of the following characteristics:

Shows dedication to community service beyond regular job duties

Demonstrates a remarkable commitment to volunteerism that significantly impacts the community

Works effectively with diverse groups fostering collaboration to achieve goals

Contributes to the success of Grady County
Farm Family
Nominee must be a current resident of Grady County,

Nominee must demonstrate one or more of the following characteristics:

Demonstrates outstanding practices in farming and sustainability in Grady County

Shows strong family involvement in farming operations and decision-making

Actively participates in local community events and initiatives

Advocates for agriculture and rural issues in the community

Promotes agricultural education and awareness within the community

Contributes to the success of Grady County
