Calvary Mule Day Festival
This is a must-attend event for those who want a little history, a little looking, and a whole lot of great food and fun.
As the air is turning cool in Southwest Georgia, a small town on the crossroads of GA 111 and 179 comes bustling to life. The day begins with a sunrise breakfast, done on the Mule grounds, of homemade biscuits and sausage. The delicious smell permeates the air as cars, trucks, and campers scurry to find their flea market site. The dust settles as over 500 booths of crafts, goodies, and wares from near and far are set up. As the formal 11 am opening, the parade winds through the small town’s bustling blocks. Judges look for the prettiest, ugliest, and most ornery mules.
